A little girl at a recent pre-school show was singing along with the songs, laughing, and enjoying the stories. When it was time for another volunteer to help with the magic, she raised her hand so politely, and her face was so cheerful, I just had to choose her. We turned two handkerchiefs, a red one and a blue one, into one purple handkerchief.
She Caused The Magic To Happen! After the show, the school’s director told me how nice it was for that particular little girl to get to be "on stage". When I mentioned how much I enjoyed her reactions during the show, the director told me the girl had not been a happy child for a long time. Her daddy had been in Iraq for almost half of her 5-year life. She said the little girl had withdrawn from most school activities and her friends, spending most of her time sitting alone coloring pictures...until she became a magician that day. And her mother was thrilled that she had finally "come out of her shell". For Giving Them Such A Delightful Day!
